Jim Corbett National Park has ecological and geological attributes. An ecotourism destination with around 500 different species of verdure and diversity of wildlife. The tiger reserve has seized the interest of many with its diverse wildlife and beautiful landscapes. The uniqueness of the place was validated long time ago and thus they achieved the distinction of becoming the oldest and first National park in India.
The park was named after James Edward Corbett who was a Naturalist, a hunter, a conservationist, an author and a lot more. The park came under “Project Tiger” to protect the Royal Bengal Tiger in 1971 when Indian Government launched this project.
